Mediation is a process of communication back and forth in order to reach an agreement. Generally, mediation is less expensive than a litigation, and is also less time consuming. Mediation only works if all parties involved are honest and fully disclose all the relevant information and documents required to ensure a fair and informed agreement. Mediation is an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) approach to legal matters. With mediation, the parties and their attorney meet with a qualified mediator to work out their differences and pursue a mutually beneficial resolution. The mediator's role is to facilitate discussion between all parties involved by helping them find creative solutions that will work in everyone's best interest.
